Description: “Break Ke Baad” is a 2010 Hindi film that tells the story of Abhay Gulati and Aaliya Khan, childhood friends who eventually develop a romantic relationship. Aaliya, passionate about acting due to her mother’s career, dreams of becoming an actress. Her father’s departure leaves her and her mother to navigate life on their own. Abhay, on the other hand, aspires to be a chef, but his father pressures him to take over the family business.
Despite their bond, Aaliya is hesitant about marriage. When an opportunity arises for her to attend acting school in Australia, she seizes it, leaving behind her life in India. In Australia, she lives with her strict aunt before moving into a shared bungalow with a group of young individuals. Abhay, growing increasingly anxious, follows her to Australia, which strains their relationship as Aaliya feels he doesn’t trust her. This leads to their breakup.
Meanwhile, Abhay opens a restaurant that becomes highly successful. Over time, Abhay and Aaliya reconnect and rebuild their friendship. Aaliya completes her acting education, and during her graduation, Abhay’s father discovers his son’s restaurant. Aaliya’s mother, Ayesha, and Abhay attend her graduation ceremony. However, Aaliya signs a movie contract without her mother’s consent, causing tension between them. Feeling unsupported, Abhay also distances himself from Aaliya.
Realizing her mistakes and the importance of her mother’s support, Aaliya decides to quit the movie and returns to India to mend their relationship. Her mother eventually recognizes Aaliya’s strength and ability to face challenges, allowing her to pursue her acting career. Aaliya returns to Australia for her movie shoot and reconnects with Abhay, who confesses he hasn’t moved on. Aaliya encourages him to move forward and get married. However, she is surprised to learn from a friend that Abhay is indeed getting married. Confused and hurt, she rushes to his house, only to find him preparing for his wedding.
