Storyline:
Amy and Molly, high school seniors and inseparable best friends, are highly driven but often seen as pretentious by their classmates. Amy, who is openly gay, has feelings for a girl named Ryan, and Molly encourages her to act on them before graduation. On the eve of their graduation, Molly overhears classmates mocking her studious nature in the bathroom and proudly announces her acceptance to Yale. To her surprise, they reveal that despite their partying lifestyles, they’ve also secured spots in top colleges and high-profile jobs. Frustrated, Molly realizes they’ve missed out on the fun of high school and convinces Amy to attend a graduation party hosted by a classmate named Nick.
Unaware of the party’s location, Molly reaches out to Jared, a wealthy peer who has a crush on her. He takes them to his own party on a yacht, where only his eccentric friend Gigi is present. Gigi feeds the girls strawberries before dramatically jumping off the yacht. Amy suggests heading home, but Molly calls a “Malala,” their code for unwavering support of each other’s decisions.
The girls order a Lyft and are shocked to find their principal, Jordan Brown, as their driver. To prepare Amy for a possible encounter with Ryan, Molly insists they watch pornography, which accidentally blasts through the car’s speakers. Principal Brown drops them off at a house they mistake for Nick’s aunt’s place but turns out to be a murder mystery party hosted by classmate George. There, they meet Gigi again, who reveals the strawberries were laced with strong hallucinogens. Amy and Molly experience a bad trip, imagining themselves as plastic dolls. After escaping, Gigi discloses Molly’s hidden feelings for Nick.
Though exhausted, Amy insists they continue to Nick’s party so Molly can act on her crush. They discover the party’s location by threatening a pizza delivery man after spotting pizza boxes in an online video. Finally, their favorite teacher, Miss Fine, gives them a ride to the party.
