The film was inspired by Mateo’s own experience of loss. After the tragic passing of his wife, Mary Ann, to cancer, he channeled his grief into creating this poignant story. He emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with loved ones during difficult times, drawing from his own experience of finding support in his family and friends.
