**Storyline:**
Hiro Hamada, a 14-year-old robotics prodigy and high school graduate, lives in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo, a blend of San Francisco and Tokyo. He spends his time participating in underground robot fights. To inspire Hiro, his older brother Tadashi takes him to the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, where Hiro meets Tadashi’s friends: Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fred, and Baymax, an inflatable healthcare robot created by Tadashi. He also encounters Professor Robert Callaghan, the head of the robotics program. Inspired, Hiro decides to apply to the university.
At the school’s showcase, Hiro presents his invention: microbots, tiny robots that can link together using a neurocranial transmitter. Callaghan is impressed and accepts Hiro into the program. However, a fire breaks out at the school, and Tadashi rushes in to save Callaghan, only to be tragically killed in the explosion.
Two weeks later, while grieving Tadashi’s death, Hiro accidentally activates Baymax. Together, they discover that someone is mass-producing Hiro’s microbots. A mysterious figure wearing a Kabuki mask confronts them, using the microbots as a weapon. Hiro begins to suspect that the fire that killed his brother was no accident but a cover for stealing his invention. Determined to uncover the truth and avenge Tadashi’s death, Hiro upgrades Baymax with armor and combat skills. With the help of Tadashi’s friends, they pursue the masked man, leading to a thrilling confrontation.
