Description: Raja Ram Joshi, the son of Panditiji (Rajendra Gupta), dreams of becoming an actor. When a theater group arrives in his village, Khakar, Gujarat, to perform RamLeela, he eagerly seeks any role to start his journey in the performing arts. Initially turned away, he gets an opportunity to step in as Raavan when Bhanvar (Abhimanyu Singh) falls ill. Raja Ram becomes drawn to Rani (Aindrita Ray), who plays Sita on stage, and she reciprocates his feelings. However, their on-stage roles as Raavan and Sita spark controversy as real-life politics and religion interfere with their budding romance, making their situation increasingly challenging.
The film begins with a theater troupe arriving in a Kutch village to stage the RamLeela. Director Hardik Gajjar, who also wrote the screenplay, quickly dives into the narrative. Inspired by Rani and encouraged by the positive reception to his portrayal of Raavan, Raja Ram dreams of moving to Mumbai to pursue acting. Their shared aspirations bring them closer, and they plan to leave for the city together, unaware that their love story has not gone unnoticed by the troupe. Bhanvar, who harbors feelings for Rani, becomes displeased with their relationship.
Amidst this, local politician Ratan Singh (Gopal Singh) uses the RamLeela and a Shobha Yatra/Rath Yatra as a platform to campaign for the upcoming elections. The film highlights the duality of roles, both on and off stage, as members of the troupe juggle multiple responsibilities. Bhanvar, as the theater company owner, also plays Raavan, while Rajesh Sharma’s Bajrangi oversees production, handles finances, drives the bus, and portrays Hanuman. Ankur Bhatia’s Lachhu also takes on multiple roles, adding depth to the story.
