Description: Ben 10 is an American animated television series and media franchise developed by Man of Action Studios and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The story revolves around a boy named Ben Tennyson who discovers the Omnitrix, an alien device shaped like a wristwatch that contains the DNA of various alien species. With the Omnitrix, Ben can transform into powerful aliens, each with unique abilities. Initially, the device holds ten aliens, but Ben later gains access to more species by adding their DNA.
The Ben 10 franchise has been highly acclaimed, earning three Emmy Awards. It includes five television series and four films, released between August 2007 and March 2012. Spanning fifteen years, it stands as Cartoon Network’s longest-running franchise. Additionally, Bandai and Playmates Toys have produced Ben 10 toy lines for the series. The franchise has generated over $6 billion in global retail sales.
On February 17, 2021, it was announced that three 44-minute specials—Ben 10,010, Ben Gen 10, and Alien X-Tinction—would premiere in April 2021. These specials serve as the finale to the rebooted series and feature a crossover between the first five television series in the franchise.
The story resumes five years after Ben’s initial discovery of the Omnitrix during his summer vacation. Having removed the device, Ben lives a normal life until he is compelled to use it again to rescue his grandfather, Max. Max has been kidnapped by a xenophobic alien species called the Highbreeds, who aim to eliminate humanity from Earth. Ben’s age triggers the Omnitrix to reboot, granting him access to both new and familiar alien forms. Ben teams up with Gwen and his former adversary, Kevin Levin, to thwart the Highbreeds’ genocidal plan.
