However, the story of “Beauty Circus” doesn’t focus much on the circus itself. Instead, it centers on Beauty and her journey toward redemption. While the film has a clear goal, its direction sometimes feels inconsistent and off-track. Certain artistic choices seem unnecessary and disjointed, detracting from the main narrative. The side story consumes valuable time that could have been better spent emphasizing the core message.
The film’s unique storyline and portrayal deserve recognition, yet the overall execution falls short. A movie’s screenplay often determines its success or failure, and “The Beauty Circus” struggles with a noticeable gap between its story and screenplay. Some scenes feel out of place, pulling viewers away from the film’s essence. While there are beautifully executed moments, they are overshadowed by redundant shots that disrupt the flow. Despite these flaws, the director manages to deliver elements of amusement and intrigue.
