Description: “Beastly” is a 2011 romantic drama film. The story follows Kyle Kingson (played by Alex Pettyfer), the arrogant and self-centered son of news anchor Rob Kingson (Peter Krause). Kyle mistreats Kendra Hilferty (Mary-Kate Olsen), unaware that she is a witch. As punishment, Kendra transforms him into a disfigured, scarred, and tattooed version of himself. She gives him a year to find true love, or he will remain in his altered state forever.
Kyle is sent to live in a private home with his maid Zola Davies (LisaGay Hamilton) and his blind tutor Will (Neil Patrick Harris). Both become his support system after his father abandons him. As time passes, Kyle develops feelings for Lindy Taylor (Vanessa Hudgens), a former classmate he once ignored. To protect Lindy from danger, he convinces her father to let her stay with him. Initially, Kyle hides his identity and avoids Lindy, causing her frustration. Eventually, he reveals his true self, and their relationship begins to grow closer.
Kyle writes a heartfelt letter confessing his love but hesitates to give it to Lindy due to fear of rejection. Desperate, he pleads with Kendra for more time, but she refuses, offering instead to help Will regain his sight and assist Zola’s family if Kyle succeeds in winning Lindy’s heart. In the end, as Lindy prepares to leave on a school trip, she confesses her love for Kyle, breaking the curse and restoring him to his original form.
