Genre: Action;Adventure;Science;Fiction;War
Description: In the year 3000, Earth has become a barren wasteland under the control of the Psychlos, a dominant and ruthless race of giant humanoid aliens. For a millennium, they have exploited the planet, using human slaves to extract its resources, particularly gold. While a few isolated tribes of free humans survive in remote regions, they have lost all hope of reclaiming their world after centuries of oppression. Jonnie Goodboy Tyler, however, refuses to accept this fate. He departs from his tribe in the Rocky Mountains, accompanied by a nomadic hunter named Carlo, on a quest for discovery. Their journey is interrupted when they are captured by a Psychlo raiding party and taken to a slave camp in the ruins of Denver, Colorado, the Psychlos’ primary base. The camp is protected by a massive dome that shields the aliens from Earth’s toxic atmosphere.
At the camp, Jonnie encounters Terl, the Psychlo security chief, and his deputy, Ker. Terl, who has been exiled to Earth due to undisclosed incidents involving “the Senator’s daughter,” devises a plan to mine radioactive areas for gold, a forbidden task for Psychlos due to the deadly reaction between radiation and their breathing gas. Recognizing Jonnie’s resourcefulness, Terl appoints him to lead the mining operation. Jonnie gains extensive knowledge of human history and literature through a Psychlo learning machine and boldly declares that humans will one day overthrow their alien oppressors. Terl, amused, shows Jonnie the ruins of Denver and its library, boasting of the Psychlos’ swift conquest of Earth in just nine minutes during the early 21st century. Jonnie draws inspiration from historical texts, including the Declaration of Independence.
Terl assigns Jonnie a group of slaves and a Psychlo shuttle, instructing him to search for gold. Jonnie discovers a rich deposit at the abandoned Fort Knox and stumbles upon a hidden military base equipped with functioning Harrier jets, weapons, and fuel. While ostensibly working in the mines, Jonnie and his allies secretly prepare for a revolution, training in aerial combat using the base’s flight simulators. Their ultimate goal is to reclaim Earth from the Psychlos and restore humanity’s freedom.
