Description: Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham (2023) is an animated film inspired by the comic book series created by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace, and Troy Nixey. Set in the 1920s, the story follows explorer Bruce Wayne, who unintentionally awakens an ancient evil during his travels. This forces him to return to Gotham City after a twenty-year absence. Batman, who relies on logic and science, must confront Lovecraftian supernatural forces that threaten the very existence of Gotham. Along the way, he encounters reimagined versions of his iconic allies and enemies, including Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, James Gordon, and his beloved wards. The film promises a mystical and terrifying Batman adventure unlike anything seen before.
The voice cast features David Giuntoli reprising his role as Batman, following his performance in *Batman: Soul of the Dragon*. Other notable cast members include Tati Gabrielle as Kai Li Cain, Christopher Gorham as Oliver Queen, Patrick Fabian as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio as James Gordon, and David Dastmalchian as Grendon.
