**Storyline:**
“Banjo” is a musical drama directed by Ravi Jadhav, featuring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. The story revolves around Mickey, an American temporarily based in Mumbai, who is on a mission to find a skilled instrumentalist capable of playing the Indian banjo. While attempting to connect with his music festival-aspiring friend Christina, Mickey stumbles upon a local concert organized by a group of underprivileged friends. When Christina arrives in Mumbai, she is initially disheartened by the city’s chaotic nature and takes on odd jobs to make ends meet. Taraat falls for her instantly, but their journey takes a dramatic turn when he is falsely accused of the MLA’s assassination by a rival band’s leader. Meanwhile, Christina discovers Taraat’s exceptional banjo skills and convinces him to pursue their shared musical dream.
As the story unfolds, Taraat is abandoned by his friends under false pretenses. However, the truth eventually surfaces, reuniting the band. They later receive an opportunity from a prominent music figure, Shamin Nair. Despite initial setbacks, the band proves their talent by delivering a powerful performance inspired by Lord Ganesha. The song’s success reaches Christina in the US, and she invites Taraat to join her at the festival, marking a turning point in their lives.
