Description: Bangarraju is a 2022 Indian supernatural drama film in the Telugu language, directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who co-wrote the screenplay with Satyanand. The film is produced by Annapurna Studios and Zee Studios and serves as a sequel to the 2016 movie *Soggade Chinni Nayana*. It features Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna reprising their roles from the original, alongside Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty. Production for *Bangarraju* started in August 2021 and wrapped up in December 2021. The music and soundtrack were composed by Anup Rubens. The film was released in theaters on January 14, 2022, coinciding with the Sankranti festival.
The story follows Bangarraju, who is initially sent to Naraka (hell) but is later moved to Svarga (heaven) due to his good deeds while on earth. Months later, Ramu and Seetha welcome a child, but Seetha passes away after childbirth. Ramu and Satyabhama decide to raise the child, naming him Bangarraju. Meanwhile, Ramu’s cousin, Ramesh, names his daughter Naga Lakshmi, and both families plan to arrange their marriage in the future. Due to Ramu’s demanding work schedule, Satyabhama takes care of young Bangarraju. As he grows up, he exhibits traits similar to his grandfather and frequently clashes with Naga Lakshmi.
In one incident, Satyabhama witnesses young Bangarraju with another girl, leading to a heart attack and her untimely death. In Svarga, she encounters Bangarraju’s soul flirting with other women, and both are shocked by her early demise. They later observe a grown-up Bangarraju, who has turned into a man much like his grandfather, while Naga Lakshmi strives to become the village Sarpanch (head) after her father.
