Description: Bittoo Sharma (Ranveer Singh) is a lively and street-smart young man. While sneaking into a wedding for free food, he encounters Shruti Kakkar (Anushka Sharma), a smart and unique girl assisting the wedding coordinator. When Bittoo sees Shruti dancing, he records her performance, pretending to be part of the film crew. The next day, he tries to impress her by giving her a DVD of her dance, but Shruti shows no interest in flirting. Instead, she shares her ambition to become a wedding planner.
Bittoo faces pressure from his father (Govind Panday) to return to their village and work in the sugarcane fields, while Shruti’s family urges her to marry soon. After finishing her exams, Shruti convinces her parents to give her five years to establish her business before they arrange her marriage. When Bittoo’s father arrives to take him back, Bittoo lies, claiming he’s starting a wedding planning business. He approaches Shruti to become her business partner, but she hesitates, fearing romantic complications. She emphasizes that the first rule of business is to keep love separate from work.
Shruti and Bittoo meet Chanda Narang (Shena Gamat), a well-known wedding planner, hoping Shruti will be hired. Chanda shows no interest in Shruti but offers Bittoo a job after losing one of her male workers. Bittoo accepts on the condition that Shruti is hired as well. While working with Chanda, Shruti discovers her unethical practices, such as cheating clients and failing to deliver as promised. When a client confronts Chanda, she blames Shruti. Bittoo defends her, and they both quit to start their own company, Shruti’s original idea, Shaadi Mubarak (Congratulations on the Wedding).
