Description: Bambi, a 1945 classic, tells the story of a young fawn destined to become the Great Prince of the Forest, a title held by his father, who protects the woodland creatures from the threats of hunters. Born into the forest, Bambi quickly befriends Thumper, an energetic rabbit who encourages him to walk and talk. The young fawn grows deeply attached to his mother, spending most of his time with her. Along the way, he also meets Flower, a young skunk, and Faline, a female fawn, forming lifelong friendships.
Curious and eager to learn, Bambi often questions the world around him. His mother lovingly warns him about the dangers that forest creatures face. One day, while exploring a meadow, Bambi briefly encounters the Great Prince but doesn’t realize it’s his father. When the Great Prince senses the arrival of a hunter, he alerts the animals to seek safety. Bambi is momentarily separated from his mother but is reunited with her thanks to the Great Prince, just as the hunter fires his gun.
During his first winter, Bambi and Thumper enjoy playing in the snow while Flower hibernates. Tragedy strikes when Bambi’s mother takes him out to search for food, and the hunter returns. As they flee, Bambi’s mother is killed, leaving the young fawn heartbroken and alone. The Great Prince, revealing himself as Bambi’s father, takes him under his care.
As Bambi grows into a young stag, he and his friends enter adulthood. Friend Owl warns them about “twitterpation,” the inevitable experience of falling in love. Initially skeptical, Thumper and Flower soon find themselves captivated by their romantic partners, leaving Bambi to navigate his own feelings and destiny.
