Nakul’s father, Jeetender “Jeetu” Kaushik, works in the Railways, while his mother, Priyamvada, is a homemaker. His younger brother, Gullar, is a high school student, and their grandmother, Durga, often argues with Priyamvada, dominating over Jeetu. After a heated taunt from Durga, Jeetu comforts Priyamvada, leading to an intimate moment.
Weeks later, Priyamvada discovers she is pregnant and decides against abortion. Jeetu shares the news with the family, leaving Nakul and Gullar embarrassed. They begin avoiding their parents, friends, and society. Durga is also shocked by the news. The pregnancy becomes a subject of ridicule among family, friends, and the community. Nakul starts distancing himself from Renee.
Jeetu and Priyamvada invite their sons to a wedding in Meerut, but both refuse with excuses, angering Jeetu. Meanwhile, Renee tries to cheer Nakul up, but he struggles with intimacy, reminded of his mother’s pregnancy. When Sangeeta learns about Priyamvada’s condition from Renee, she speaks negatively about the Kaushik family. Overhearing this, Nakul confronts Sangeeta harshly and ends his relationship with Renee.
