Description: In a small Florida town, Chris works at a car wash where he spots Maria, his high school crush. While cleaning a customer’s car, a powerful vacuum accidentally strips off his clothes, forcing him to hide naked in the vehicle. The customer tries to get Maria’s number for Chris, but she leaves without providing it. Meanwhile, Chris’s best friend, Bud, works at a computer shop where his sister, Trina, visits him. She asks Bud for money, but he refuses. Despite being under house arrest, she robs the store, removes her ankle monitor, and pays two customers to stay quiet. Later, Chris and Bud discuss Trina, Maria, and their dreams of embarking on grand adventures.
A year later, Chris surprises a plumber by emerging from a bathtub filled with beer cans. Rushing to his new job at a smoothie shop, he causes chaos along the way. Maria arrives at the shop, revealing she now runs an art gallery in New York City and gives Chris her business card. Distracted by the card, he accidentally injures his hand in a smoothie blender, creating a messy scene. Seeking advice, an old man encourages Chris to follow Maria to New York. Inspired, Chris performs a spontaneous musical number titled “I Saw a Girl Today,” bewildering everyone around him. With Bud, he plans a road trip to New York, setting the stage for their ultimate adventure.
