Description: Bachna Ae Haseeno is a 2008 Bollywood film that follows the journey of Raj Sharma, a young playboy portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor. His life intertwines with three women at different points, shaping his perspective on love and relationships.
The first encounter occurs in 1996 during a trip to Switzerland, where Raj meets Mahi, a small-town girl from Punjab played by Minissha Lamba. Mahi is a dreamy romantic who believes in true love. When she misses her train, Raj helps her find an alternate route to the airport. Along the way, he writes her a poem, and they share a kiss. However, Mahi later discovers the poem’s paper is blank and overhears Raj boasting about their time together, leaving her heartbroken.
In 2002, Raj moves to Mumbai and begins working as a game designer for Microsoft. He enters a live-in relationship with Radhika, an aspiring model played by Bipasha Basu. When Raj receives an opportunity to relocate to Sydney for a Halo 3 game launch, he expects to leave Radhika and move on. However, Radhika surprises him by expressing her desire to sacrifice her career and marry him. Unable to confront his commitment issues, Raj flees to Sydney on the day of their planned wedding, leaving Radhika devastated.
By 2007, Raj has established a successful career in Sydney. There, he meets Gayatri, portrayed by Deepika Padukone, a spirited and independent woman who balances her studies with driving a taxi. As they grow closer, Raj’s feelings for Gayatri challenge his long-held reluctance toward commitment.
The film explores Raj’s evolution as he reflects on his past relationships and learns valuable lessons about love and responsibility.
