**Storyline:**
Clay Beresford Jr., a young billionaire, is deeply in love with Samantha “Sam” Lockwood, his mother’s personal assistant. Clay needs a heart transplant, and his trusted friend, Dr. Jack Harper, is the surgeon assigned to perform the procedure. Before the surgery, Clay arranges a secret marriage with Sam at midnight, after which he heads to the hospital.
During the operation, Clay experiences anesthesia awareness, leaving him conscious but paralyzed. This painful ordeal triggers a clairvoyant vision, revealing Dr. Harper’s plot to kill him. Clay discovers that Sam, who once worked under Dr. Harper, is part of the conspiracy. Their plan involves poisoning the donor heart with Adriamycin, causing it to fail and ensuring Clay’s death. The motive is to claim insurance money, which would help Dr. Harper settle his malpractice lawsuits.
As the scheme unfolds, Clay’s mother, Lilith, realizes the truth. In a desperate act of love, she sacrifices her own life to save her son. She commits suicide so her healthy heart can replace the poisoned one. Meanwhile, Dr. Harper, overwhelmed by guilt, secures evidence to ensure Sam is held accountable.
A new surgical team takes over, transplanting Lilith’s heart into Clay while the conspirators are arrested.
