Description: In 1967, British spy Austin Powers thwarts an assassination attempt by his arch-enemy Dr. Evil in a London nightclub. Dr. Evil escapes into space and cryogenically freezes himself. Powers volunteers to be placed in cryostasis, anticipating Dr. Evil’s eventual return. Thirty years later, Dr. Evil comes back to find that his henchman, Number 2, has turned Virtucon, the legitimate face of his empire, into a multibillion-dollar business. Uninterested in corporate success, Dr. Evil plots to steal nuclear weapons and extort the world, initially demanding $1 million but raising it to $100 billion upon learning about inflation. He also discovers that his associates, using his frozen semen, have created a son named Scott Evil, a resentful Generation X teenager who struggles to connect with his father.
Learning of Dr. Evil’s return, the British Ministry of Defence unfreezes Powers and helps him adjust to the 1990s with the assistance of agent Vanessa Kensington, the daughter of his former sidekick, Mrs. Kensington. Posing as a married couple, Powers and Kensington track Number 2 to Las Vegas and encounter his secretary, Alotta Fagina. Powers infiltrates Fagina’s penthouse and uncovers Dr. Evil’s plan to drill a nuclear warhead into the Earth’s core, triggering global volcanic eruptions.
Fagina discovers Powers’ identity and seduces him. Meanwhile, Dr. Evil creates fembots—female androids with concealed weapons—to defeat Powers. Powers and Kensington infiltrate Virtucon headquarters but are captured by Dr. Evil’s henchman, Random Task. Despite the United Nations agreeing to Dr. Evil’s demands, he proceeds with his destructive plan. Powers and Kensington escape his death trap, and Kensington seeks help. Powers confronts the fembots, using a striptease to disarm and cause them to explode, foiling Dr. Evil’s scheme.
