**Storyline:**
The film is set in Gurgaon, an industrial city near Delhi, and follows the perspective of ACP Arya Phogat (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Raised by his uncle, DCP Ravikant Phogat (Rishi Kapoor), Arya’s life is shaped by the tragic past of his father, Inspector Vijaykant Phogat (Anupam Kher). Years earlier, Vijaykant’s failure to convict the criminal Yashvardhan Singh (Jackie Shroff) due to a lack of evidence led to his disinterest in life. Yashvardhan’s wife, Veera (Tanvi Azmi), turned informer against her husband and fled with one of her twin sons, Vishal (Arjun Kapoor), leaving the other, Ajay (also Arjun Kapoor), behind.
Vijaykant secretly sheltered Veera and Vishal, claiming a botched encounter and taking the blame for it. Suspended from the police force, he struggled with his loyalty to his biological family and his adopted wife and son. Before his death, Vijaykant revealed to Arya the existence of his other family but withheld their identities. After his father’s passing, Arya met Veera and was stunned to discover Vishal, who looked identical to Ajay. It was revealed that the two were twins.
Ravikant, a corrupt officer, planned to expose Yashvardhan’s criminal activities, a mission his brother had failed to complete. He enlisted Arya and convinced Vishal to infiltrate Yashvardhan’s household by posing as Ajay. To facilitate this, Ravikant and Arya kidnapped Ajay and held him captive, allowing Vishal to gather evidence of Yashvardhan’s illegal dealings. Vishal had to maintain his disguise in front of Yashvardhan, his lover Neena Wadhwa (Amrita Singh), and Ajay’s girlfriend, Ritu (Zara Khan). Over time, Vishal developed feelings for Ritu, further complicating the situation.
