Description: Arjun Reddy is a 2017 Indian film about a house surgeon named Arjun Reddy Deshmukh, who works at St. Mary’s Medical College in Mangalore. Despite his academic brilliance, he struggles with severe anger issues, which lead to conflicts with the college dean and earn him a reputation as a bully. After a heated altercation during an inter-college football match, Arjun is given the choice to apologize or leave the college. He initially opts to leave but decides to stay after meeting Preethi Shetty, a first-year student.
Arjun, along with his friend Shiva, declares his love for Preethi in front of her classmates, claiming her as his exclusive partner. Though initially intimidated, Preethi gradually accepts his intense personality, and the two develop a deep bond. After graduating with an MBBS degree, Arjun moves to Mussoorie to pursue a Master’s degree in orthopedic surgery. Over the next three years, their relationship grows stronger.
However, their love faces challenges when Preethi’s father discovers them together and opposes their relationship due to Arjun’s behavior and their differing castes. Arjun gives Preethi an ultimatum to decide within six hours, but her parents intervene, preventing her from contacting him. When Preethi finally reaches out, Arjun is in a state of self-destruction. Tragically, Preethi is forced into an arranged marriage with someone from her caste.
Heartbroken, Arjun confronts the situation but is assaulted and arrested for causing a scene. His father disowns him, leaving Arjun to navigate the consequences of his choices and shattered dreams.
