**Storyline:**
Robert Miller, a wealthy New York City hedge fund manager, is on the verge of selling his company for a significant profit. His daughter, Brooke, works alongside him in the business. However, Miller is secretly involved in an affair with Julie Cote, a younger gallery owner he has supported financially. Unbeknownst to Brooke and most of his team, Miller has falsified his company’s records and borrowed $412 million to hide a major investment loss, risking arrest for fraud.
As the deal’s potential buyer, James Mayfield, delays the process, Miller faces pressure from his lender to repay the loan. During a crucial meeting that coincides with Julie’s gallery show, Miller is distracted by her persistent calls and texts. When Mayfield fails to show up, Miller’s frustration grows, especially after Brooke uncovers inconsistencies in the company’s financial records.
Later, Miller attends Julie’s event but faces her anger. They leave together, but tragedy strikes when Miller falls asleep at the wheel, causing a fatal car accident.
