Originally titled *Annabelle Subramaniam*, the film’s principal photography began on August 28, 2020, in Jaipur. The production team filmed entirely in a single schedule, adhering to COVID-19 restrictions, and utilized iconic locations such as City Palace, Rambagh Palace, and Samode Palace. Notably, it is the first Tamil film shot in these palaces in over 50 years, following *Adimai Penn* in 1969.
The Rajasthan government facilitated the shoot by providing exceptional support and hospitality to the cast and crew. Filming wrapped up by October 2020, and the post-production phase involved extensive computer graphics work. In August 2021, the title was changed to *Annabelle Sethupathi* for its South Indian release, while the Hindi version was titled *Annabelle Rathore*.
The movie blends humor and horror, offering a unique cinematic experience while showcasing the talents of its star-studded cast.
