**Plot Summary:**
Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren take possession of the Annabelle doll from nurses Debbie and Camilla, who claim the doll was responsible for violent occurrences in their apartment. During their drive back, the doll summons spirits to attack Ed, but he manages to survive. Upon returning home, the Warrens secure Annabelle in a sacred glass case within their artifacts room, blessed by Father Gordon to contain the evil.
Later, the Warrens hire Mary Ellen to babysit their daughter, Judy, while they travel overnight to investigate another case. At school, Judy notices a priest’s spirit following her. Mary Ellen’s friend, Daniela, shows up uninvited, driven by her curiosity to communicate with the dead. She sneaks into the artifacts room, leading her to accidentally unlock Annabelle’s case. This unleashes the spirit of Annabelle “Bee” Mullins, along with other terrifying entities such as the Ferryman, the Bride, a Feeley Meeley board game, and the Black Shuck.
Chaos ensues as Annabelle releases these spirits. Mary Ellen’s crush, Bob Palmeri, arrives but is attacked by the Black Shuck and hides in the backyard. Mary Ellen is tormented by the Ferryman, while Judy faces Annabelle in her bedroom. Meanwhile, Daniela, who had left earlier, sneaks back to return the artifacts room keys. She becomes trapped inside the room, haunted by cursed objects like a piano and an old television that predicts the future. She encounters the Mourner’s Bracelet and witnesses her deceased father’s spirit distorted into something malevolent. After answering a cursed phone, a bloodied and screaming version of Daniela appears on the television. Just as the real Daniela is about to answer the phone again, Judy and Mary Ellen intervene.
