Let’s just get it over with.” The movie features a standard screenplay, mediocre camera work, unremarkable dialogues, and a clichéd storyline. When combined with over-the-top comedy, excessive melodrama, and dream sequences, it becomes difficult to determine where the film intends to go.
The plot revolves around Surjo Mondal and Swapan Sarkar, two crime lords engaged in an 18-year-long battle for control over a small village located near the India-Bangladesh border. The story unfolds predictably, with explosions, flying cars, and constant casualties. However, the scenario shifts when Surjo’s top henchman, Bishu, falls in love.
The film carries the signature style of Rohit Shetty, though it is not directed by him. The similarities are uncanny: intense violence, perfectly synchronized car sequences that seem choreographed, a larger-than-life hero who acts on orders before they’re fully spoken, and a beautiful heroine who attempts to steer the hero away from his violent life. The movie also includes exaggerated laughter for comedic effect and tearful outbursts intended to evoke emotion.
Despite its efforts, the film fails to resonate with the audience. The repetitive elements, such as the average screenplay, predictable plot, and excessive drama, make it feel uninspired. Ultimately, the movie struggles to find its direction amidst the chaos of its overdone elements.
