Description: “An American Werewolf in London” (1981) is a classic horror film that tells the story of two American backpackers, David Kessler and Jack Goodman, who are traveling across the Yorkshire moors. One evening, they stop at a local pub called the Slaughtered Lamb, where the atmosphere turns hostile after Jack inquires about a mysterious five-pointed star on the wall. Warned to stay on the road and avoid the moors, the pair ignores the advice and is attacked by a vicious creature. Jack is killed, and David is severely injured. The beast is later shot by pub-goers, who reveal it was a werewolf.
Three weeks later, David wakes up in a London hospital, where Inspector Villiers informs him that the attack was carried out by an escaped lunatic. However, David insists it was a wolf-like creature. Shortly after, Jack appears to David as an undead spirit, revealing the truth: David has been cursed to become a werewolf. Jack urges David to end his life before the next full moon to prevent further tragedy and to free Jack from his undead torment.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hirsch visits the Slaughtered Lamb to investigate David’s claims but is met with denial from the pub-goers. One distraught individual confides in Dr. Hirsch, warning of the danger David poses during the next full moon. The tension builds as David’s transformation looms, setting the stage for the chilling events to come.
