**Storyline:**
Four years after the events of the third film, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, along with the Chipettes—Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor—move to a new house and organize a surprise birthday party for Dave. The celebration also serves as a farewell for the Chipettes, who are set to appear as guest judges on *American Idol*. However, the party is shut down by Dave when he returns home. Despite this, he agrees to take them mini-golfing and introduces them to Samantha, the woman he has been dating. While the Chipmunks like Samantha, her son Miles bullies them.
Later, the Chipmunks discover an engagement ring in Dave’s bag and assume he plans to propose to Samantha. Fearing that Dave’s marriage would make Miles their stepbrother, they attempt to steal the ring but fail. When Dave travels to Miami to produce a record for pop star Ashley Grey, he takes Samantha along. The Chipmunks and Miles decide to follow them to sabotage the potential proposal.
Their journey is filled with chaos, including a plane emergency caused by a monkey released by Theodore. Air Marshal James Suggs, who holds a grudge against the Chipmunks, adds to their troubles by placing them on the No Fly List (except for Miles). The adventure tests their determination as they race to Miami to prevent the engagement.
