Description: In *All Star Superman* (2011), Lex Luthor devises a plan to eliminate Superman permanently. By exposing him to excessive solar radiation, Luthor succeeds in poisoning the Man of Steel, who is now slowly dying. With limited time left, Superman must face crucial challenges, including revealing his true identity to Lois Lane and confronting Luthor in a final showdown.
The story begins with Dr. Leo Quintum and his P.R.O.J.E.C.T. team exploring the Sun when they are sabotaged by Luthor. Superman saves them but becomes overwhelmed by the intense solar radiation. Quintum discovers that while Superman has gained immense power, it’s also accelerating his death, leaving him with only a year to live. Meanwhile, Luthor is arrested following a Daily Planet article written by Clark Kent.
Determined to keep his condition a secret from the public, Superman decides to share the truth with Lois, his love interest. He hopes to spend his remaining time with her, though she initially struggles to accept his confession. For her birthday, Superman takes her to the Fortress of Solitude, where they enjoy dinner in a restored stateroom of the RMS Titanic.
During their visit, Superman allows Lois to explore the Fortress but warns her against entering one specific room. His secretive behavior fuels her curiosity and paranoia, leaving her suspicious of his intentions.
