**Plot Summary:**
Oh Joon-woo finds himself trapped alone in his family’s apartment as a zombie outbreak ravages the outside world. When he investigates the hallway, a desperate neighbor forces his way in, pleading for shelter. However, the neighbor soon turns into a zombie and attacks Joon-woo, who manages to push him out and secure the door. Through the peephole, Joon-woo witnesses a brutal zombie attack on his neighbor. Despite the chaos, he receives reassuring messages from his parents, confirming their safety.
To survive, Joon-woo fortifies his door with a fridge and posts a rescue plea on social media. Using a drone, he surveys his neighborhood, discovering it’s completely overrun by zombies. Over time, he loses access to essential resources like phone networks, the internet, and running water.
One night, Joon-woo observes zombies overpowering a police officer outside. His scream attracts a zombie, which breaks into his apartment, topples the fridge, and destroys his food supply. Joon-woo cleverly lures the zombie off the balcony. Struggling with hunger and thirst, he turns to alcohol but begins hallucinating about his family. A brief restoration of the phone network delivers a harrowing voicemail from his family, revealing their refuge has been overrun. Enraged, Joon-woo ventures outside to confront the zombies but narrowly escapes a horde and makes it back to his apartment.
Desperate and defeated, Joon-woo attempts to take his own life but is interrupted by a laser pointer’s light. It’s a signal from Kim Yoo-bin, a survivor in the opposite building. Yoo-bin tries to set up a zip line between their apartments, but her initial attempt fails when the cable lands in the street. Joon-woo uses his drone to successfully establish a second line. However, an infected firefighter tugs on the first cable, causing Yoo-bin’s table to crash through her apartment, knock her unconscious, and lodge into her balcony railing. The zombie begins climbing the cable, putting both survivors in grave danger.
