**Storyline:**
Aladdin, a street urchin in the Arabian city of Agrabah, and his monkey Abu cross paths with Princess Jasmine, who has escaped her confined life in the palace. Jasmine aspires to become the Sultan, but tradition dictates she must marry a royal suitor, including the clueless Prince Anders. Meanwhile, Jafar, the grand vizier, plots to overthrow the Sultan and seeks a magical lamp hidden in the Cave of Wonders. However, only the “diamond in the rough” can enter the cave.
After sneaking into the palace to meet Jasmine, Aladdin is captured by Jafar, who offers him wealth in exchange for retrieving the lamp, warning him not to take anything else. Inside the cave, Aladdin encounters a magical carpet and locates the lamp, but Abu’s curiosity triggers a cave collapse. Aladdin hands the lamp to Jafar, who betrays him, leaving him and Abu trapped. Fortunately, Abu steals the lamp back before they are sealed inside.
Rubbing the lamp, Aladdin summons the powerful Genie, who grants him three wishes. Aladdin cleverly escapes the cave without using a wish and decides to become a prince to win Jasmine’s heart, promising to free the Genie with his final wish.
Arriving in Agrabah as Prince Ali of Ababwa, Aladdin struggles to impress Jasmine. Posing as Aladdin’s attendant, the Genie falls for Jasmine’s handmaiden, Dalia. Aladdin and Jasmine grow closer during a magical carpet ride, but when his true identity is revealed, he lies, claiming he is a prince disguising himself to explore the city.
