Suraj Kapoor, a wealthy and single young man, meets Shubangi, and the two fall deeply in love. Soon after, they marry and begin a peaceful life together. Suraj and Shubangi dismiss the man, but he later contacts Suraj, introducing himself as Vishwanath. Vishwanath presents video evidence of his wedding to Madhu, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Shubangi. Despite this, Suraj remains skeptical.
On Shubangi’s birthday, during a celebration, Suraj is confronted with flashbacks of Vishwanath abusing and torturing his wife Madhu, confirming Shubangi’s true identity. Vishwanath kidnaps Shubangi and attempts to prove she is Madhu by checking for a specific mark on her body. Suraj intervenes, and in the struggle, Vishwanath falls off a cliff. Suraj and Shubangi return home, but the ordeal is far from over.
One day, while shopping, Shubangi encounters Vishwanath again, this time accompanied by her father, who denies her true identity. Distraught, she returns home and informs Suraj that Vishwanath is alive. Suraj and his brother Ravi seek help from the police, but Vishwanath manages to contact Shubangi at home. Suraj traces the call and Vishwanath surrenders himself to the authorities, only to be released later.
That night, Suraj overhears Shubangi confessing to Vishwanath on the phone that she is indeed Madhu. She reveals that she could no longer endure Vishwanath’s abuse and sought to escape her past. The story takes a dramatic turn as Vishwanath and Madhu’s twisted history unfolds, leaving Suraj to grapple with the truth and the consequences of their entangled lives.
