During the summer, Tim meets Charlotte, a friend of his sister. Though he is instantly drawn to her, he waits until the end of her visit to confess his feelings. Charlotte suggests he should have spoken up earlier. Tim uses his time-travel ability to revisit the holiday and express his feelings midway, but Charlotte still insists it would have been better to wait. Disheartened, Tim realizes that no amount of time travel can change someone’s emotions.
Later, Tim moves to London to pursue a legal career and shares an apartment with Harry, a grumpy playwright who is an acquaintance of his father. One evening, Tim visits a “Dans le Noir” restaurant, where he meets Mary in the dark. They share a connection, and Mary gives him her phone number. However, upon returning home, Tim finds Harry in distress after a disastrous play premiere due to a forgotten line. Tim travels back in time to fix the issue, ensuring the play’s success. Unfortunately, this erases his initial meeting with Mary.
Determined to reconnect with her, Tim recalls Mary’s fascination with Kate Moss. After relentless efforts, he locates her at a Kate Moss exhibition, only to discover she’s now in a relationship. Undeterred, Tim seeks out details about their meeting and devises a plan to win her heart.
