Description: “About Elly” is a 2009 Persian film available for download in both 720p and 480p resolutions. The storyline follows a group of middle-class Iranians, former law school classmates, who embark on a three-day vacation to the Caspian Sea. The group includes Sepideh, her husband Amir, and their young daughter; Shohreh, her husband Peymān, and their two children, including their son Arash; and Nāzy and her husband Manuchehr. Sepideh, who organized the trip, brings along her daughter’s kindergarten teacher, Elly, intending to introduce her to Ahmad, a divorced friend visiting from Germany.
Upon arriving at a seaside mansion, the group is told the owners will return the next day, so they decide to stay at a deserted beachfront villa instead. Sepideh lies to the caretaker, claiming Elly and Ahmad are married and on their honeymoon. Elly, initially shy, begins to develop an interest in Ahmad, who seems to reciprocate her feelings. Elly calls her mother, falsely stating she is with coworkers at a resort and plans to return to Tehran the next day. However, Sepideh doesn’t want her to leave and hides her luggage.
During the trip, Arash is found floating in the sea, and Elly goes missing. Although Arash is revived, Elly’s whereabouts remain unknown, leaving the group uncertain whether she has drowned or left for Tehran. As the search continues, tensions rise, and the group begins to blame each other for the events leading to her disappearance.
As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Sepideh has been deceitful. Elly is actually engaged to a man named Alireza, but she was reluctant to marry him. Sepideh pressured Elly to join the trip to meet Ahmad, despite Elly’s initial refusal due to her engagement. Alireza eventually confronts the group, attacking Ahmad and questioning Sepideh about whether Elly had declined the invitation to the vacation.
The film explores themes of truth, deception, and the consequences of hidden motives as the characters grapple with the fallout of their actions.
