Description: A young Yeti escapes from a facility in Shanghai owned by a wealthy businessman, Mr. Burnish, who aims to prove the existence of Yetis to the world. Meanwhile, Yi, a teenager, lives with her mother and grandmother in an apartment. Busy with her daily life, she neglects spending time with her family and friends, Peng, a basketball enthusiast, and his tech-savvy cousin, Jin. Yi, a violinist, deeply misses her late father, who also played the violin.
One night, Yi discovers the Yeti on the rooftop of her apartment building and names him Everest. She gains his trust by feeding him and tending to his wounds while hiding him from Mr. Burnish’s helicopters. Yi learns that Everest wants to reunite with his family on Mount Everest, while Everest discovers Yi’s dream of traveling across China. When Burnish’s security forces close in, Everest and Yi flee, narrowly escaping a helicopter near the Oriental Pearl Tower. They board a ship carrying soda cans, followed by Peng and a hesitant Jin.
The group arrives at a port in southern China and continues their journey on a truck. After their crate falls off, they find themselves in a forest, where Everest amazes them by using his mystical powers to stimulate plant growth. Meanwhile, Mr. Burnish and zoologist Dr. Zara continue their pursuit. They catch up with the group in the Sichuan region, but Everest uses his powers to create a giant plant, allowing Yi, Everest, and Peng to escape. Jin, however, is captured by Burnish’s men.
