Description: The film “ABCD 2” revolves around Suresh ‘Suru’ Mukund, a waiter at a bar, who aspires to become a renowned dancer to fulfill his late mother Durgadevi’s dream. He is supported by his best friend Vernon Monteiro, a pizza delivery boy. Vinita ‘Vinnie’ Sharma, a hairdresser, also dreams of becoming a top hip-hop dancer. These childhood friends from Nalasopara, Mumbai, form a dance team and enter the national-level competition, “Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin.” However, they are disqualified from the grand finale after their dance moves are exposed as being copied from the Philippine All Stars’ performance, leading the judges to brand them as “cheaters.” Following this, the team disbands, and everyone returns to their respective jobs.
Suru resumes his work as a waiter, Vinnie goes back to her beauty parlor, and Vernon returns to delivering pizzas. However, they continue to face ridicule and insults for their past actions. Determined to redeem themselves, Suru devises a plan to win the prestigious World Dance Championship in Las Vegas, where the Philippine All Stars are highly acclaimed. Along the way, they meet Vishnu, a skilled dancer, and convince him to become their choreographer. Together, they audition for new team members and begin preparations for the competition. During practice, Vinod, a deaf-mute dancer, discovers the hidden feelings between Vinnie and Suru.
The team travels to Bangalore for the qualifiers, where they face initial humiliation but ultimately win after Vishnu pleads for a second chance. Despite this success, Suru faces another setback when Shetty Anna, his employer, refuses to provide financial support after previously promising it. Suru leaves the bar, angered by Anna’s disrespectful remarks about Vinnie.
“ABCD 2” is a story of resilience, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams in the face of adversity.
