Description: Aankhen, released in 2002, is a gripping Hindi film following the story of Vijay Singh Rajput, a former bank manager portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. After being fired for violently assaulting a dishonest clerk, Vijay devises a plan to exact revenge by orchestrating an elaborate bank heist. He recruits three blind men—Vishwas (Akshay Kumar), Illyaas (Paresh Rawal), and Arjun (Arjun Rampal)—after realizing their unique abilities can be harnessed for the task. Neha (Sushmita Sen), a teacher at a blind school, is coerced into training them for the seemingly impossible mission.
The trio successfully executes the robbery, securing the jewels. However, Illyaas’s identity is compromised when his face is captured on camera, leading to a citywide manhunt. Vijay grows increasingly anxious, pressuring Vishwas and Arjun for information about the stolen goods, but they remain clueless about the items’ location. Tensions escalate between Vijay and Neha, who is only involved to protect her kidnapped brother, Rahul. Arjun confesses his feelings for Neha, adding emotional complexity to the plot.
As the police intensify their search for Illyaas, he ends up at Vijay’s hideout in a drunken state, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation. The film masterfully blends suspense, emotion, and crime, culminating in a thrilling narrative that keeps viewers engaged until the very end.
