Description: “Aami Shudhu Cheyechhi Tomay” is a 2014 Bengali-language action comedy film directed by Ashok Pati and Anonno Mamun. It was produced by Ashok Dhanuka under Eskay Movies and co-produced by Action Cut Entertainment. The movie stars Ankush Hazra, Subhashree Ganguly, and Vikram Chatterjee in lead roles. It is an official remake of the 2009 Telugu film “Arya 2” and is a joint production between India and Bangladesh. The film’s music was composed by Savvy Gupta, Hridoy Khan, and Akassh.
This marked the fourth collaboration between Ankush Hazra and Eskay Movies, following “Idiot,” “Kanamachi,” and “Khiladi.” It was also Subhashree Ganguly’s third project with the production house, after “Khokababu” and “Khoka 420.” Notably, it was the first Indo-Bangladeshi joint venture film for both Ankush and Subhashree.
Filming began on September 26, 2013, with shooting locations including Pubail in Gazipur, Bangladesh, as well as India and Thailand. The title song was filmed in Kutch, Gujarat. The film initially offered the lead role to Tollywood star Dev, but scheduling conflicts led to Ankush Hazra taking the part. Bangladeshi actor Symon Sadik was approached for another role but declined after reviewing the storyline.
The film blends romantic comedy with a social message, aiming to entertain while conveying meaningful themes. It features Bangladeshi national film award winner Misha Sawdagor and newcomer Meghla in significant roles. This project pioneered a trend of Indo-Bangladeshi joint ventures in the film industry, with Eskay Movies leading the way in such collaborations.
