Description: Ammy Virk, a Punjabi actor, has set his sights on creating a pan-India Punjabi film. Having debuted in Bollywood with Kabir Khan’s *83* earlier this year, Virk is now actively expanding his network. As both an actor and producer, he aims to broaden his scope as a filmmaker. He believes that *Qismat* (2018), a Punjabi film, should be remade in Hindi. Virk suggests that by extending the production period from 45 to 65 days, movies could be simultaneously shot in both Hindi and Punjabi. “We are working towards that goal. My vision is to produce pan-India Punjabi films,” he shares.
Currently filming a project in Mumbai, Virk feels a strong connection to the city. Following the success of his recent Hindi film, he has been receiving promising offers. “After *83*, I was waiting for the right projects, and now they are coming my way. I’m being approached for lead and supporting roles. I’ll only take on quality work,” he explains. Virk is also collaborating with Karan Johar’s production house for a film and is involved in another biopic project.
