**Storyline:**
Over a year after the invasion of blind alien creatures with hypersensitive hearing, which wiped out much of Earth’s population, the Abbott family struggles to survive. Evelyn, her deaf daughter Regan, and son Marcus discover that the aliens are vulnerable to high-frequency audio feedback. Using Regan’s cochlear implant hearing aid, Evelyn manages to kill the weakened creatures that had attacked their home and killed her husband, Lee.
With their home destroyed, Evelyn, along with Regan, Marcus, and her newborn baby, sets out to find other human survivors. They carry a portable guitar amp and microphone to defend themselves against the aliens. Along the way, they encounter Emmett, a family friend of Lee, who takes them to his bunker after Marcus is injured by a bear trap.
Marcus and Regan discover a radio signal playing the song “Beyond the Sea” on a loop, originating from a nearby island. Regan decides to reach the radio tower to transmit the high-frequency noise from her hearing aid, creating a weapon humans can use against the aliens. When Marcus threatens to tell Evelyn about her plan, Regan sets out on her own.
After realizing Regan is gone, Evelyn convinces Emmett to find her. Emmett locates Regan and, after hearing her plan, agrees to help her complete the mission. Meanwhile, Evelyn leaves Marcus and her newborn at the bunker to retrieve medical supplies. Marcus accidentally alerts an alien to his location by knocking over objects in the compound.
As Emmett and Regan search for a boat to reach the island, they encounter feral humans. When the feral group ties bottles around Emmett and searches Regan for supplies, Emmett creates noise to attract the aliens, who then attack and kill the feral humans.
The Abbotts continue their fight for survival, determined to turn the tide against the alien threat.
