Description: A musician lives with his wife in a small house in Dallas, Texas. As they search for a new home and prepare to move, she shares her habit of leaving a hidden note in each place they leave, just in case she ever returns. Occasionally, strange noises echo through their house, including a loud bang in the living room near an inherited piano. Unable to identify the source, they dismiss it.
Tragically, the husband dies in a car accident the next morning. At the hospital, his wife says her final goodbye before covering his body with a sheet. The man awakens as a ghost, still draped in the sheet, and wanders unseen through the hospital. A luminous portal appears before him, but he doesn’t approach it, and it soon vanishes. He returns home, where he watches his wife mourn. As time passes, he observes the changing seasons and notices another sheet-covered ghost in the neighboring house. They exchange silent waves.
One evening, the wife brings home a new man, and the ghost reacts with anger, causing lights to flicker and books to fall. Later, as she listens to a song her late husband composed, she reminisces about their time together. Eventually, she decides to move out, leaving behind a note hidden in a wall crack. The ghost tries to retrieve it but fails.
A Spanish-speaking family moves in, and the ghost observes their daily lives—eating, playing the piano, and celebrating holidays. The children sense his presence and become frightened. One night, after seeing a framed family photo on the piano, the ghost grows enraged, smashing objects and causing chaos. The family soon moves out, while the neighboring ghost remains, still waiting.
