**Storyline:**
Set in 1959 Taipei, the film follows Zhang Zhen, nicknamed Si’r, a junior high student who is forced to attend night school after failing a test. This decision worries his father, a government worker, who is concerned about the delinquency often associated with night school students.
A year later, Si’r and his best friend, Cat, sneak into a movie studio to watch the filming of a period drama. After being caught by a guard, they steal his flashlight and return to school, where Si’r accidentally interrupts a pair of lovers in a dark classroom. The story introduces two rival gangs: the Little Park Boys and the 217s. While Si’r isn’t part of either gang, he is closer to the Little Park Boys, led by Honey, who is hiding in Tainan after killing a member of the 217s.
Si’r’s relationship with Sly, the temporary leader of the Little Park Boys, becomes strained after a misunderstanding involving Sly’s girlfriend, Jade. Meanwhile, Si’r befriends Ming, a girl entangled in the gang conflicts.
As tensions rise, Honey unexpectedly returns, disrupting a truce between the gangs. In a tragic turn of events, Honey is murdered by the leader of the 217s during a confrontation, leaving Si’r to navigate the consequences of his choices in a world filled with violence and uncertainty.
