**Storyline:**
European Airways pilots Captain Michael Lutzmann (Carlo Kitzlinger) and First Officer Tobias Ellis (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) prepare for a flight from Berlin to Paris aboard an A319 aircraft. Before takeoff, Tobias speaks with his girlfriend, Gökce (Aylin Tezel), who is one of the flight attendants. After completing pre-flight checks, the plane takes off.
During the flight, a flight attendant, Nathalia, brings meals to the pilots, providing an opportunity for terrorists to attempt a hijacking by forcing their way into the cockpit. The attackers kill Nathalia in the process, and two terrorists, Kinan and Vedat, manage to enter the cockpit. A violent struggle ensues, during which Captain Lutzmann is fatally stabbed. Tobias fights back, subdues Kinan, and locks the cockpit door, but not before sustaining a severe injury to his arm.
Tobias sends an emergency signal to air traffic control using the hijacking code “7500” and successfully diverts the flight to Hannover, the nearest safe landing location. He restrains Kinan and straps him into the jump seat. Meanwhile, the remaining hijackers repeatedly try to break into the cockpit, threatening to harm hostages if Tobias does not open the door.
As the situation escalates, Tobias watches a live camera feed showing a passenger being held hostage by one of the terrorists, Daniel. Despite the threats, Tobias is instructed by air traffic control not to open the cockpit door. Captain Lutzmann eventually succumbs to his injuries, and Tobias struggles to maintain control while mourning the loss of his colleague. The terrorists continue to demand entry, putting Tobias in a desperate and high-pressure situation.
