Description: **3-Iron (2004) – Korean Movie Overview**
Tae-suk, a solitary man, spends his days riding his motorcycle and placing takeout menus on front doors. He breaks into homes where the menus remain untouched, temporarily living there while the owners are away. During his stays, he cleans, repairs items, and even takes photos with the owners’ belongings. One day, he enters a large house, unaware that he is being watched by Sun-hwa, a former model trapped in an abusive marriage. Tae-suk leaves after noticing her but later returns to witness her husband, Min-gyu, harming her. In response, Tae-suk distracts Min-gyu by playing golf in the yard, eventually leaving with Sun-hwa.
Their relationship develops in silence as they move from one vacant apartment to another. Tae-suk continues his unique habit of practicing golf by drilling holes in balls, tying them to trees, and hitting them. During one incident, a loose golf ball strikes a car passenger, leaving Tae-suk guilt-ridden. Sun-hwa comforts him, and their bond grows stronger.
Later, they enter a hanok, where they share a quiet moment, sipping tea and kissing. In another apartment, they discover the body of an elderly man and give him a respectful burial. When the deceased man’s family arrives, they accuse Tae-suk and Sun-hwa of murder, leading to their arrest. Despite harsh interrogation, the couple remains silent, maintaining their unspoken connection.
