Description: 28 Weeks Later (2007) is a gripping film set during the aftermath of a devastating outbreak of the Rage Virus. The story begins with Don, his wife Alice, and four other survivors seeking refuge in a barricaded cottage on the outskirts of London. Their sanctuary is disrupted when a terrified boy arrives, followed by infected individuals. In the chaos, Don abandons Alice and the boy, narrowly escaping as the infected overrun their hideout.
After the infected begin to perish from starvation, NATO steps in to regain control of Britain. Twenty-eight weeks later, American forces, led by Brigadier General Stone, bring in settlers to rebuild the nation. Among them are Don and Alice’s children, Tammy and Andy, who had been abroad during the outbreak. They are placed in District One, a secure zone on the Isle of Dogs, guarded by the US Army. Reunited with their father, Tammy and Andy learn of their mother’s tragic fate—or so they think.
Curious and yearning for closure, the siblings sneak out of the safe zone to revisit their former home. There, they discover a shocking truth: their mother, Alice, is alive but in a semi-conscious, delirious state. Meanwhile, Don’s fabricated story about her death begins to unravel, setting the stage for a harrowing series of events as the family confronts the lingering horrors of the outbreak.
