**Storyline:**
In Great Britain, a deadly virus called “Rage” is released after activists free an infected chimpanzee. The virus rapidly spreads, causing extreme aggression and the collapse of society. Twenty-eight days after the outbreak, bicycle courier Jim wakes from a coma in London’s deserted St. Thomas’ Hospital, only to face a world in chaos. He is attacked by infected humans but is saved by survivors Selena and Mark. At Jim’s request, the group heads to his parents’ home in Deptford, where he discovers they have taken their own lives. During an infected attack that night, Mark is bitten, forcing Selena to kill him before he turns.
Jim and Selena later meet cab driver Frank and his daughter Hannah at Balfron Tower. From them, they learn of a military broadcast promising safety at a blockade in Manchester. As supplies run low, Frank convinces Jim and Selena to join them on the journey. However, upon arriving in Manchester, they find the blockade abandoned. Tragedy strikes when Frank is infected by a drop of blood entering his eye, and he is killed by soldiers who arrive shortly after.
The survivors are taken to a fortified mansion led by Major Henry West, but the promised safety is revealed to be a deception. West admits the broadcast was a ploy to lure women for forced repopulation. When Jim refuses to cooperate, the soldiers try to kill him, but he escapes. Jim releases Private Mailer, an infected soldier, leading to the deaths of West’s men. As Jim, Selena, and Hannah attempt to flee, West ambushes them, shooting Jim from the back seat of their cab.
