Description: Two years after their successful stint in the 21 Jump Street program, Schmidt and Jenko return to investigate narcotics trafficking. After failing to apprehend a drug dealer known as The Ghost, Deputy Chief Hardy reassigns them to Captain Dickson’s undercover program, now based at 22 Jump Street. Their mission is to infiltrate a college and uncover the supplier of a synthetic drug called “WHY-PHY,” which caused the death of a student.
At college, Jenko befriends two jocks, Zook and Rooster, who become the main suspects. While Jenko bonds with them and starts attending parties, Schmidt attracts the attention of an art student named Maya by pretending to be interested in slam poetry. Their relationship becomes complicated when Schmidt discovers Maya is Captain Dickson’s daughter. Meanwhile, Jenko grows closer to Zook, who encourages him to join the football team, creating tension between the partners.
When they struggle to identify the drug dealer, Schmidt and Jenko seek advice from their former associate, Mr. Walters, who points out a unique tattoo on the dealer’s arm in a photo. Jenko eventually notices the tattoo on Zook, raising suspicions. The duo is invited to join a fraternity led by the jocks, but Schmidt declines, further straining his relationship with Jenko, who embraces the fraternity lifestyle.
