Description: In the year 2067, a humble utility worker receives a mysterious radio signal from the future, compelling him to leave his dying wife behind. Venturing into the unknown, he embarks on a perilous journey that forces him to confront his deepest fears. His mission is to alter the course of reality and save humanity from its most severe environmental crisis.
After being shocked by the revelation of his own imminent death and suffering from the effects of poisonous berries, Ethan is rescued by Jude, who followed him through time using the Chronocrom—a device that monitors life readings. Together, they uncover another functional bunker, which turns out to be a Chronicom laboratory. Here, they learn that Ethan’s wrist device is a DNA analyzer designed to grant him access to the Chronicom, a machine set to reactivate automatically in four hours.
Through a holographic message left by Richard Whyte, Ethan and Jude discover that the Chronicom project’s original purpose was to reactivate an atmospheric monitoring station. This station would assess the Earth’s future breathability and transmit the data back to the past. During its initial activation, Nathan, Ethan’s father, received an unexpected directive to send his own son to the future. Despite his doubts, Nathan prepared Ethan’s wrist analyzer, though follow-up missions were halted due to the need for a secure, bidirectional time-travel connection.
As the Chronicom begins to reactivate, its nuclear power core malfunctions, threatening a catastrophic explosion before the countdown ends. Ethan and Jude rush to the power core, located beneath the ruins of their home city. Amid the skeletal remains—including that of Xanthe—they realize that a cure for the deadly Sickness was never discovered. During their journey, Ethan recognizes Jude’s voice from an old recording found on the decaying Archie computer, leading to a confrontation. Jude, exposed, forces Ethan at gunpoint to the reactor’s control room, setting the stage for a dramatic final act.
